This is a reproduction of a rare and historic, antique nautical chart showing Preliminary Chart No. 3 of the Sea Coast of the United States from Portland, Maine to Race Point, Massachusetts.
A rare hand colored 1857 coastal chart of the Massachusetts coastline, covering from Howard’s Ledge (South of Boston) North through Boston proper and Minot’s Ledge. It includes North past Nahant, Lynn, Beverly and Salem to Gloucester and Cape Ann, Essex, Ipswich and Newburyport, extending all the way to Portsmouth. Includes Provincetown and the Northernmost part of Cape Cod. Detailed depth soundings and sailing references, including lighthouses throughout. The port side of the chart includes detailed information regarding lighthouses, beacons, sailing instructions and tides.
Printed on thick paper, this is truly a Vintage Fish Company Favorite!
It measures 26 inches across and 30 inches in length.
